No Bilingual Work without Bilingual Pay!

Our Patients are Our Top Priority!

Many of the patient care support staff at UC Health centers and hospitals have been using their bilingual communication skills to help check in patients, answer questions, provide guidance and explain healthcare instructions for years at no charge to the UC.

After agreeing to $100 per month bilingual pay for UC Health workers who always use their valuable language skills to help patients, UC is now refusing to certify and pay qualified workers.

UC has instead told workers to stop translating and utilize a translation hotline that is much slower and less patient friendly.

Tell the University of California to certify and pay workers for their valuable and much-needed bilingual skills in order to assist patients in their preferred language! UC Health needs to prioritize communication with patients!
