No ShotSpotter Surveillance in Tacoma!

Tacoma recently implemented surveillance technology called ShotSpotter in the Hosmer neighborhood that alerts police when it thinks it hears a gunshot.
Unfortunately, evidence from other cities that have tested ShotSpotter show it will likely lead to increased over policing of Black and Brown residents, money wasted on dispatching patrols to false alarms, and a failure to reduce gun violence or increase crime solving.
For more information on the issues with ShotSpotter check out this ACLU article “Four Problems with the ShotSpotter Gunshot Detection System”
Tell the Mayor, City Council, and the City Manager to reject this costly false solution!
