May 2018: the Trump Administration issued three illegal, anti-federal employee, union busting executive orders in an attempt to weaken unions so they can get rid of employee pensions and make it easier to fire federal employees.

June 2018:  NFFE-IAM filed and won a joint lawsuit against President Trump and OPM in response to the unlawful EOs, in th U.S. General District Court for D.C.

April 2019: The U.S. Appeals Court for the D.C. Circuit struck down the lower court ruling by Judge Ketanji Brown-Jackson in the Trump EO case.

September 2019: Following the decision of the three-judge panel in July reversing labor's victory over the anti-employee EOs-- NFFE's request to rehear the case before the full D.C. Court of Appeals was denied. EOs to likely go into effect on October 2, 2019.

In 2018, House Democrats and Republicans, as well as 45 Senate Democrats sent President Trump letters asking that he rescind the EOs. Additionally, a bipartisan group of current and former congressional leaders filed an amicus brief in opposition of the orders.
