The Locality Pay Equity Act would ensure that Federal Wage System (FWS) geographic pay areas align with the General Schedule (GS) locality pay areas. Under current policy, in some instances FWS employees are paid much less than GS employees, despite working side by side, for the same employer, and in the same location.
