PASS Urges Swift Passage of FAA Reauthorization

PASS represented-employees:
The current extension of FAA reauthorization expires on May 17. While the Department of Transportation is funded through the end of the fiscal year, the five-year FAA reauthorization is still hung up in Congress. What's at stake? Billions of dollars in funding for the FAA: operations; facilities and equipment; airport improvement grants; research, engineering and development. Even more important, there are provisions to increase staffing. Congress needs to act!
Continuing resolutions and short-term extensions of FAA reauthorization impede progress and modernization. PASS is calling for a five-year authorization to be passed as quickly as possible.
