As we witness 100+ days of genocide in Gaza, it's crucial for us as concerned Maryland residents and taxpayers to take a stand. Despite growing international calls and over 69 percent of Americans supporting a ceasefire, U.S.-backed Israeli military operations have intensified, with extensive aerial and artillery strikes causing wide-spread devastation and killing over 27,000 civilians in Gaza, mostly children and women.

It's a time for ACTION, and one of the most impactful things we can do is to make our voices heard by those in power. House Joint Resolution 0002 Ceasefire Resolution, introduced by Delegate Gabriel Acevero and co-sponsored by seven state lawmakers in the 2024 session of the Maryland General Assembly, has been assigned to the House Rules and Executive Nominations Committee.

Write to Chair Anne Healey and Committee Members now urging them to bring this resolution to a vote and to pass it out of committee.
