Standing Trees is helping to lead a coalition of more than 70 environmental organizations across the US in calling on President Biden and the US Forest Service to end logging of mature and old-growth forests on federal public lands. The Telephone Gap logging project on the Green Mountain National Forest, which targets a vast area of trees over a century old, is a national poster-child of what's wrong with Forest Service management.
