The Montgomery County Council will vote on a resolution to adopt the controversial IHRA Working Definition of Antisemitism in a few weeks. This definition conflates criticism of Israel– legitimate political speech – with antisemitism. This definition threatens the free speech of Jews, Muslims, and Palestinian human rights advocates.

This action alert is being circulated by a group of Montgomery County Jews who came together after hearing about this resolution. As Jews, we must let the County Council know that we reject the IHRA definition of antisemitism, and believe that addressing the rising threat of white nationalism in our communities is the best approach to stopping antisemitism.
