The long standing issue in Badin, NC created by Alcoa's now abandoned aluminum smelting plant has been going on long enough.  This is an official Call to Action to ask Governor Cooper and our elected officials to get involved with our diverse community by forcing Alcoa to finally clean up their property so the contamination will no longer negatively impact Badin Lake, Lake Tillery, and surrounding waterways. These waterways are a source of year round recreation, drinking water and home to a vast array of wildlife.
