Protect Our Communities - Set Water Quality Standards for PFAS!

For decades, communities across North Carolina have been poisoned by toxic PFAS pollutants in our drinking water. The NC Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) wants to set water quality standards to limit the pollution from industrial dischargers and protect drinking water supplies. However, North Carolina's Environmental Management Commission (EMC) continues to dismantle and delay any attempts by the NC Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) to use their authority to regulate these toxins.
The EMC members have heard from members of NC Chamber of Commerce (representing business interests), industrial polluters, and wastewater treatment plant operators. Now it's time for them to hear from you, the people impacted by their decision to protect polluters.
