I am an educator in Pima County who is concerned about the rising rates of transmission of COVID-19 and it’s variants. We understand what it would mean to pass a mask mandate in compliance with new CDC guidelines. We support you in implementing this in all public spaces, including schools, as sites of mass transmission until this significant spread gets under control. We consider the health and safety of our coworkers, students, their families and the broader community to be of utmost importance at this critical moment. Therefore, we need you to take moral leadership and implement this mask mandate now.
