Charles County currently ranks 11 out of 24 Maryland LEAs (local education agencies/counties) in per pupil funding, despite increases in state funding. At the most basic level, we have increased student enrollment and growth in special populations necessitating additional funding, but there are a wide variety of additional funding needs as well.

To elevate Charles County public education, EACC and CCPS are advocating for what’s best for our students, community and members/employees. We need your support to encourage the County Commissioners to fully fund the negotiated agreements and the school systems expansion of programs in alignment with the BluePrint for Maryland's Future.
