On Wednesday, June 28, community organizations across the country — including Voces De La Frontera, Migrant Equity Southeast, AKIN, Louisiana Organization for Refugees + Immigrants, ICE Out of Tarrant County, United Fort Worth, Never Again Action, Faith In Action, and more — are taking action to demand the Biden Administration immediately end the racist 287(g) police-ICE program.

The 287(g) program increases racial profiling, empowers white supremacist sheriffs, and endangers immigrant communities across the country. Biden promised to end the program while running for office. Almost two and a half years later, while a few contracts have been canceled, these contracts continue to allow white supremacist sheriffs to terrorize immigrant communities.
