The CPS School Board is meeting on Tuesday, October 6th at 4:30pm to discuss next steps for bringing students back to buildings. Decisions regarding implementing stages for return will be made at the regular Board Meeting on October 12th at 6:30pm.

As always, CMNEA feels strongly that educator voice should be considered in these decisions. CMNEA will continue to advocate as an organization on your behalf using our COVID committee recommendations and survey results as our guide. But, because one fragment of our community is actively reaching out to Board members asking for a full and immediate return, we ask that you lend your voice to bring balance to this discussion. Please take a couple of minutes to send a letter stating your feelings about reopening. You are able to edit the letters and personalize them to tell your story.
