Massachusetts farmers and small businesses have been incredibly hard hit by Covid. Already struggling in a heavily regulated industry, many are on the verge of collapse. Budget Amendment 166 the "MA Hemp Survive and Thrive", just passed by the Massachusetts state Senate, can save our hemp farmers and businesses by expanding their access to Massachusetts medical and adult use dispensaries. Not only can this provide the lifeline our farmers need, and bring additional revenue into the state, it offers Massachusetts consumers greater access to the cleanest, safest hemp in the country, with more product availability and better prices.
