Schedule a Hearing for Medical Cannabis Improvements with HB 1805!

HB 1805 has been assigned to the Water, Agriculture & Rural Affair Committee, where it is pending being scheduled for a hearing. But if it does not get a hearing soon, it could be dead in the water for this session.

HB 1805 amends the Texas Compassionate Use Program so that physicians may recommend certain products containing fixed levels of THC to patients. It will add the conditions that causes chronic pain, for which a physician would otherwise prescribe an opioid. It also empowers DSHS to add conditions under a review process in the same manner in which Texans had conditions under in urable neurodegenerative disorders added. This gives power to the state health officials, rather than legislators to add qualifying conditions. This bill will also replace the current THC cap with a max volumetric dose of 10mg.
