SEND A LETTER: Vote SB 956 Out of Commitee and expand HUSKY Health Coverage to all regardless of immigration status!

In Connecticut, undocumented immigrants are unable to access healthcare coverage! They can’t buy into AccessHealth CT, are not eligible for Medicaid or Medicare, and private insurance companies are either too expensive or outright reject applications from undocumented individuals.

Our families cannot seek the proper health care we need. With 120,000 estimated undocumented immigrants in our state ,during a pandemic this is a massive public health concern!

But it doesn’t have to be this way. Connecticut IS able to provide health care access to all of us. SB 95 would expand CT’s HUSKY Health program to all state residents regardless of immigration status. This bill just had a Public Hearing in the Human Services Commitee. And now we need the Human Service Commitee Memebrs to vote it out of committee!

Healthcare is human right and no person should be denied the healthcare they need and a change of survival due to their ability to pay or immigration status.

Use this tool 👉 to send a letter DIRECTLY to the Connecticut State Representatives and Senators who are part of the Human Services Committee - asking them to vote SB 956 out of Commitee and open HUSKY Health Coverage to all state residents regardless of immigration status!
