Sign on TODAY: Tell Iowa Legislators to pass SF 357 & full funding of Natural Resources Trust Fund

It's what we've been waiting for. This week, Senators Johnson and Dearden introduced a bill to fund the Natural Resources & Outdoor Recreation Trust Fund.
Voters approved the Trust Fund in 2010 with 63% of the vote ... it passed overwhelmingly in 79 of Iowa's 99 counties and received more votes than Governor Branstad did that year. Shortly after, the Iowa Legislature passed, and Governor Branstad signed into law, a bill that requires a portion of sales tax revenues, if the state sales tax is increased, be deposited into the Natural Resources Trust Fund.
Senate File 357 increases the sales tax and requires a portion to be allocated to the Trust Fund. The funding would be constitutionally protected, and would provide a sustainable funding source to be used for protection of clean drinking water, natural areas, places to hunt/fish and our agricultural soils for future generations.
Sign our letter today to tell legislators we can't afford to wait any longer for a sustainable funding source for Iowa's natural resources. The time is now to pass SF 357.
