Marylen Serna Salinas, a Colombian social movement leader who has spoken at the SOAW Vigil, and other female leaders in Colombia are facing threats.  On Friday, April 7, a friend of Marylen’s was kidnapped by armed men, forcibly put in a car, hit, injected with an unknown substance in the right arm, and then tortured and questioned about Marylen’s activities. When she refused to provide information, she was tied down, abused, and then left in a remote location. Speak out against this abduction, and threats to female social movement leaders in Colombia.
