Due to a NIMBY lawsuit, using CEQA, thousands of incoming UC Berkeley students will now have their admissions letter rescinded, unless we take immediate action!

In a recent decision, the California Supreme Court ruled UC Berkeley must cap enrollment after a local neighborhood group successfully sued to block UC Berkeley from expanding its student population.

The ruling is yet another example of how the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) is used to exacerbate the housing shortage and disproportionately affect those with less wealth.

Students are not an environmental impact and their admissions should not be treated as such. We demand action.
