Stop East Bay Community Energy (EBCE) From Giving Away $15 Million in East Bay Customer Funds

We Demand EBCE Fund Asthma Prevention by Investing in a just transition for Environmental Justice Communities.

Help us convince the Board of Directors for East Bay Community Energy (EBCE) to redirect a proposed $15 million UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital donation. This money could be better used to enhance EBCE’s own programs that directly reduce the triggers for asthma, by eliminating fossil fuel pollution. The existing funds for those program are inadequate to allow low income customers to participate. This disparity furthers the inequitable access to a clean, healthy environment that is a result of historic and systemic racism.

East Bay Community Energy Board will be having an Executive Meeting on Friday September 30th, 2022 at 12:00pm public comment is necessary so that EBCE hears from the community. EBCE will update the agenda and meeting details as the date gets closer. They are required to post agendas and meeting information at least 72 hours before any public meeting.

Please sign on to the sample letter below or write your own to help us redirect the $15 million to more equitably and efficiently allocate resources to prevent asthma.
