Stop the Reckless Destruction of the Arctic Refuge

Donald Trump and his administration are rushing a process to sell off land in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to the highest bidder and allow oil drilling in one of the last remaining wildernesses in the United States. We now have a window through March 13th to make our opposition to their reckless plan known.

Demand the Trump regime cease this power grab and halt any discussion of drilling the refuge.

Recent scientific research concludes that Arctic oil and gas reserves must remain in the ground to avoid dangerous levels of global warming. Alaska is already warming twice as fast as the rest of the nation and experiencing harsh impacts, from community relocation to permafrost melt to wildfires, that will only be exacerbated if more fossil fuels are extracted and burned. Oil and gas drilling would have devastating and irreversible impacts on our climate, the people and wildlife that call the Arctic Refuge home.

We’ve teamed up with advocates from across the country to submit at least one million comments during the public comment period. Yes, it’s an ambitious goal -- but the climate crisis demands no less. It’s up to us to stop corporate overreach, protect our natural resources and and safeguard the rights of indigenous peoples. Add your voice today and help protect the Arctic Refuge from development.

We've drafted a comment for you, but add your own words to make it even more powerful.
