Support Inaugural Federal Climate Superfund Bill

Senator Chris Van Hollen and Congressman Jerry Nadler just introduced a groundbreaking piece of legislation designed to hold the largest fossil fuel companies accountable for knowingly contributing to the climate crisis. This legislation would require top-polluting fossil fuel companies to collectively pay $1 trillion over 10 years into a fund dedicated to addressing the impacts of climate change and investing in a cleaner, more resilient future.

The Polluters Pay Climate Fund will be used to remediate the impacts of climate change through various ways, including:

  • Rebuilding and upgrading infrastructure

  • Cleaning up pollution impacts in frontline communities

  • Providing climate-related disaster assistance

  • 40% of the Fund is set aside for investments benefiting environmental justice communities

Take action by telling your Senators to support this bill and #MakePollutersPay.
