Support New Homes at 1601 Civic Center in Santa Clara!

Santa Clara and the greater Southern Bay Area are in the midst of a severe housing shortage, displacement, and affordability crisis. To alleviate these issues, it is essential that we build significantly more well-designed and well-located homes throughout the region.

That's why the Housing Action Coalition is proud to support an innovative new project at 1601 Civic Center that would bring 108 much-needed homes to the city of Santa Clara.

Some of the project's many highlights include:

Creating affordable homes. 1601 Civic Center is a 100% affordable project rate that places an emphasis on providing housing for lower-income families (30-50% AMI levels) while also offering a diverse range of home sizes from studios to three-bedroom apartments.

Improving access to public transit. With a rapid bus line and two local bus lines within .25 miles of the site, the project’s location will provide residents with easily accessible and environmentally friendly transportation options.

Green Building Design. The project building will be 100% electric and has achieved GreenPoint Gold certification.
