Support Good Paying Jobs in Harlem!
When developers come to New York City, they know we're a union town.
Next week, the City Council will have the opportunity to vote on a new project in Harlem, One45. The project is a 915-unit apartment building with 40-50% of the units dedicated to affordable housing. Furthermore, developers have committed to using union labor to support the local workforce.
With One45, we can set a precedent that it is possible to build affordable housing without sacrificing rights for hardworking New Yorkers all the while ending the affordability and housing crisis.
The New York City District Council of Carpenters, a 20,000-member strong union, is urging our city council members to VOTE YES on the One45 rezoning taking place the week of 5/31.
