The Case for Federal Operations Support from TransitCenter on Vimeo.

Since 2006, the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) has cut over 25% of service while fares have doubled. Transit agencies throughout Ohio lack state funding and rely on local sales taxes that have not recovered since the great recession.

These cuts can be reversed and service expanded by supporting the Stronger Communities Through Better Transit Act, increasing funding for transit operations at the federal level for the first time in decades!

TransitCenter estimates service in Cleveland could increase over 30%, restoring cuts since 2006 and expanding more frequent service. This investment would benefit communities throughout Ohio with big service increases.

Ohioans-- take action, support and share this page to restore transit service throughout Ohio by telling our federal representatives to support Rep. Hank Johnson's Stronger Communities Through Better Transit Act today!
