Take Action: Pennsylvanians Need Better Protection from EBT Card Skimming!

Card skimming is when benefits are stolen remotely from your EBT card. If you had a charge on your EBT card that nobody in your family made, and your EBT card is still in your possession, you may have been the victim of card skimming.

Unfortunately, this is happening more and more to people in Pennsylvania and other states through no fault of their own.

The federal government and Pennsylvania officials are putting in place a reimbursement program for PA residents who lost benefits due to card skimming, but it only covers the time period after October 1, 2022. If you lost benefits due to card skimming before this date, those benefits will NOT be reimbursed.

Pennsylvania state officials must expand this time period and add security measures to these cards to prevent these badly needed benefits from being stolen.

Please use the form on this page to tell your state legislator YOUR story of EBT card skimming so they fully understand the impact of this growing problem and why EBT recipients need more protection!
