Legislation (H.R.2997) recently passed in the House Transportation & Infrastructure Committee includes damaging language that will privatize our country's air traffic control system. This means our aviation system will no longer be accountable to the American people, but to a board of special interest groups. The only bottom line for our air traffic control system should be safety. Privatization of the air traffic control system at a time when the system is the safest in the world and modernization progress is being made is not a good idea! This is not the way to run our country's essential aviation system.
