Tell Augusta: Don't cut housing, food, or support for families!

Budget investments are how we build a future together. But planned federal and state budget cuts would hurt Maine people and our economy!

We can build momentum for justice. Let's stand up together for essential housing, food, and health care programs that build a stronger, safer, and more just state for us all.

Maine legislators have been working on a state budget to fund the next two years. A lot goes into this process; legislators need to consider revenue and the most critical community needs. We know this for sure: Maine cannot cut its way to financial stability.

A healthy and safe state starts with essential support for Mainers facing economic hardship, including enough food, safe homes, help for families with kids like Head Start and childcare, and income to make ends meet. Unfortunately, there is a proposal to cut these basic programs.

📣📣 Key lawmakers on the Appropriations and Financial Affairs (AFA) Committee need to hear a message of support for housing, food and health care programs from Mainers who care! This is an important moment to support a fair budget for Maine.
