Tell Congress: defend US foreign aid to the Burmese people

Tell your Members of Congress to defend US foreign aid to the Burmese people

For the decades, the U.S. has been a leader in supporting the Burmese people. It is crucial that the U.S. Congress continue to fund vital programs for both humanitarian relief as well as promotion of democracy and human rights in Burma (Myanmar).

The Trump administration has frozen foreign aid programs and destroyed the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Voice of America, and Radio Free Asia. Moreover, the Trump Administration is decimating vital Burma-related programs at the National Endowment for Democracy and the U.S. Institute for Peace.

Congress must step up and defend these programs that are vital to the Burmese people's struggle for their livelihoods, for their human rights, and for democracy in their country.

Tell your Members of Congress to defend and continue to fund U.S. foreign aid programs for Burma.
