TELL CONGRESS: KEEP SALTWATER FISHERIES HEALTHY

Since 2000, 44 species of saltwater fish have recovered from overfishing thanks to the Magnuson-Stevens Act, our nation’s primary ocean fish conservation law. However, Congress may soon consider a bill that would weaken this law by relaxing catch limits for a number of important marine fish stocks and allowing fisheries managers to delay the timely recovery of overfished populations. The short-term gain of this bill will lead to a long-term cost for all recreational anglers. Please voice your opposition to H.R. 200 to your Representatives in Congress. Thank you for your support of healthy marine fisheries.
