Teamsters and millions of other hardworking Americans have paid into the program with each and every paycheck – these benefits are earned. We need to use our collective voices to tell Congress to keep their hands off of our Social Security benefits.

The House Committee on the Budget will attempt to pass out of committee, H.R. 5779, a bill to establish a so-called fiscal commission on the debt; some members have even discussed plans to use the commission to “rein-in” Social Security. We know what this means – a reduction in the benefits that we have earned through years of hard work.  

Teamsters General President Sean O'Brien sent the attached letter to the Committee – now, we need you to take action. Send an email to your Representative TODAY telling them that you oppose H.R. 5779 and that you expect them to fight back against any proposal that would threaten the Social Security Program and the benefits that you have earned.
