Tell Congress to Stop the Amazon Safety Crisis & Support the Warehouse Worker Protection Act
Amazon workers should not have to work under the constant pressure of secret, unrealistic production quotas. These quotas force us to work faster and faster, subjecting us to the most dangerous working conditions in the warehouse industry in order to maintain Amazon's massive profits. Worker injury rates at Amazon warehouse are 76 percent higher than at all other non-Amazon warehouses.
But a new bill in Congress could change this. The Warehouse Worker Protection Act, supported by the Teamsters Union, was recently introduced in the Senate and the House. If passed, would ensure all warehouses inform their workers of all quotas governing their jobs.
The Warehouse Worker Protection Act would require companies like Amazon to disclose quotas that workers are judged by and make sure that workers are not required to meet a quota that interferes with their health and safety, or their ability to take breaks and to use the bathroom.
Email your representatives today and urge them to support the Warehouse Worker Protection Act.
