Tell DEP: No Fracked Gas Compressors in North Jersey

Activists stand at a rally with a banner that reads: Gov. Murphy, Protect North Jersey, Stop the Toxic Gas Compressors
Yanette Ramirez

Despite the growing urgency of our inter-twined climate, environmental, and public health crises, the fossil fuel industry continues its reckless assault on NJ. Tennessee Gas Pipeline company (TGP) is proposing to expand its fracked gas pipeline through North Jersey by building a compressor station in West Milford and tripling the size of its existing compressor in Wantage. Compressors are dangerous industrial sites that pressurize and release toxic, flammable, and climate-destroying fracked gas.

Only one critical permit remains pending before the NJDEP for this project which TGP wants to start constructing as early as this fall! TGP is currently soliciting comments on its draft "Title V Air Permit" for the Wantage site and we need all hands on deck to submit comments. Please send a comment to the NJDEP Today!
