Tell DeWine to Hold the Line and Go All in For Ohio Kids!

The new Speaker of the House Matt Huffman wants to pull the rug out from Ohio’s public schools by not including critical funding in the 2025-26 state budget. Gov. Mike DeWine has always said that Ohio’s children are his top priority. We need to urge DeWine to hold the line for the 1.6 million students served by Ohio public schools.

Ohio's last two state budgets included the Fair School Funding Plan (FSFP), a hard-won fix to Ohio’s old unconstitutional school funding system that had forced districts to over-rely on local property taxes.

Speaker Huffman wants to undo that progress. He called the FSFP “unsustainable” and said he does not intend to include the FSFP’s thirdand final phase in the 2025-26 state budget. Please use the materials below to write a letter asking Gov. DeWine to include the FSFP in his budget proposal.
