Nash County Public Schools transportation workers are calling on Dr. Ellis and the Board of Education to put a $3/hour raise in their budget request to the County Commissioners. For years, employees in transportation have gone without raises, and been subject to egregious mistakes that have cost numerous people to lose out on health insurance, retirement deductions, and other benefits. Nash County has an opportunity to begin to rebuild trust and good faith with members of the transportation department by simply making them a real priority in this year's budget request.
