Tell KKR: Respect Wet'suwet'en rights, drop Coastal GasLink

Man with arms raised in olive green looking forward with militarized police with weapons standing behind.

Over the past five years, TC Energy has tried to build a massive pipeline on Wet'suwet'en land, defiantly ignoring hereditary chiefs' rights and title, and their lack of consent for the project.

Wet'suwet'en Indigenous community leaders and members were just arrested again in a militarized police raid on their land, a blatant violation of their rights.  KKR, a US-based private equity firm, purchased 65% of the Coastal GasLink pipeline with Alberta Investment Management Corp (AIMCo).

The pipeline project is already way over budget and behind schedule. If we can get KKR to pull out of the pipeline, it could send the project into a spiral and get even more banks and private equity to drop their funding for Coastal GasLink --- but we need to mobilize online to get KKR to drop right now.

This private equity giant talks a big game on ESG, but their investments are having awful impacts on the ground.
