Tell Oregon Legislators to Fund the Student Success Act!

The Student Success Act, which will deliver critical funding to our students in Pre-K and K-12 is currently under attack by the very businesses that opposed its passage in 2019. For weeks, business groups have been using the COVID-19 crisis to try and pressure the legislature and the governor to change or delay the Corporate Activity Tax (CAT) that funds both the Student Success Act and a portion of Oregon’s general school funding, the State School Fund.

Meanwhile, our schools are being asked to do more, not less, in difficult circumstances.

Now is the time to reach out to your legislators and the governor with a message of “NO DELAY OF THE CAT”. Let them know that this tax was designed to apply only to those businesses in a financial position to pay it, and that our students cannot be asked to pay the price of an unnecessary delay.
