That’s what state Sen. Mike Rulli called a simple majority of 50 percent plus one in our democracy.

Seriously. Rulli said this during a hearing to raise the threshold to 60 percent for voters in Ohio to change our Constitution.

Special interests and lobbyists are pushing this change because they can control politicians like Rulli, but they cannot control you and other Ohioans who believe in one person, one vote.

Getting rid of ballot initiatives means more power for them and less power for voters to decide the issues that matter most.
