Tell San Francisco Supervisors Not to Ban Cannabis Smoking in SF Apartments

The San Francisco Board of Supervisors is considering a motion by Supervisor Yee to ban all smoking in San Francisco apartments, with an exception only for card-carrying medical cannabis patients.

Please contact your supervisor to tell them that call cannabis smoking should be excluded from this ordinance. Unlike tobacco smoke, second-hand marijuana smoke has not been shown to be harmful, and state law allows few public places where cannabis can be smoked. Since recreational use of cannabis by adults was legalized statewide in 2016, most medical marijuana patients have not needed to renew their medical cards. This proposal would impact medical patients and others who are exercising their right to use cannabis in their own home.
