Tell the Ohio Redistricting Commission to adopt our Model Maps

The Ohio Redistricting Commission has a lot on its plate: drawing BOTH state legislative and congressional maps!

Legislative: The Ohio Supreme Court struck down Ohio House and Senate maps for a second time and sent them back to the Redistricting Commission with a deadline of February 17 for them to make a THIRD attempt.

Congressional: Meanwhile, the Ohio General Assembly failed in its attempt to approve a second congressional map, so the task has been sent back to the Redistricting Commission. They have until March 14 to pass a map.

Tell members of the Ohio Redistricting Commission you are counting on them to draw fair state legislative AND congressional maps! Call on them to:

  • Use the fully Constitutional maps supported by Fair Districts Ohio and partners as your starting point,
  • Conduct a process that allows the public to meaningfully respond to proposed maps with plenty of time, and that is fully transparent (no backroom deals, monitors in the hearing room with the maps featured), and
  • Honor the Ohio Constitution and the rights of voters over short-sighted, partisan concerns.
