Tell the Senate Labor & Commerce Committee - Advance the Domestic Workers Bill of Rights!

Domestic work makes all other work possible, and it’s time Washington state recognizes the full value and dignity of what we do by establishing the Domestic Workers Bill of Rights (Senate Bill 5023).
Right now, domestic workers (like nannies, cleaners, in-home care workers, and gardeners) are EXCLUDED from basic labor standards such as the right to minimum wage, sick time, and protection from retaliation. These exclusions keep this entire industry of workers, most of whom are women of color and immigrants, in the shadows and undermines the stability of all of our communities.
We deserve to feel safe in our workplaces and earn fair pay. We deserve the Domestic Workers Bill of Rights.
We need your help to get the bill out of the Senate Labor & Commerce committee and on to its next step in its journey to becoming law. Send an email to the committee members telling them how much you support the Domestic Workers Bill of Rights - every voice counts!
