About 29 years and at least $134 million dollars later, the Shapiro Administration stopped Pennsylvania's egregious practice of funneling taxpayer dollars to the anti-abortion "crisis pregnancy center" industry and re-allocated that funding to a new program to support pregnant and parenting Pennsylvanians.

This is bold leadership that defies the trend of anti-abortion state lawmakers demanding more and more taxpayer dollars go to the CPC industry, with inadequate accountability for how the money is spent and no verifiable evidence of improving the health or safety of clients.

The Shapiro Administration announced the new program will provide prenatal care, menstrual products, STI testing, education, and compassionate, unbiased, inclusive support for pregnant and parenting Pennsylvanians.
