Last week we successfully supported Newark leaders in pressuring Governor Murphy to cancel PVSC's planned vote on a new fracked gas power plant in Newark.  

This is a critical short-term victory for clean air and climate justice, but now we enter the most important weeks and months of this fight. That's because PVSC continued to greenwash their fracked gas power plant at last weeks' meeting, and the Governor and PVSC only committed to pause the project for more robust environmental justice review and stakeholder engagement. This pause gives us a critical opportunity to ramp up our campaign. We need Governor Murphy to not just delay the vote, but to make a strong public commitment to do this project in a way that upholds his climate and environmental justice commitments!

Send a message to Governor Murphy thanking him for delaying PVSC's planned vote on the power plant and urging him to take the next step by making a strong public commitment to re-design this project in a way that brings no more pollution to Newark and neighboring communities.
