Use our letter template to tell the Consumer Product Safety Commission we want to know more about the dangers of gas stove emissions and to share some common-sense solutions for improving our indoor air quality.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) seeks public input on the health hazards of gas stove emissions and potential solutions to remediate them, including the feasibility, costs, and benefits of those options. We did the work for them with our Out of Gas, In with Justice study.

In that study, we found that residential pollution disproportionately affects frontline communities that are already overburdened by toxic exposures due to environmental injustice. We also learned that communities of color in the United States are exposed to nearly twice as much pollution from residential gas combustion compared to their white counterparts. This has immense health implications for an already overburdened community. Now we need your help amplifying our findings.

Through May 8th you can use the template letter on the next page and add to the body of knowledge that the CPSC is compiling as they learn the truth about gas stoves.
