STOP SB 14 | PROTECT WATER BREAKS FOR WORKERS

Senate Bill 14 is up for a House vote on Tuesday, May 25th. SB 14 would eliminate local water break ordinances passed by the cities of Dallas (2015) and Austin (2010) and prevent other cities in Texas from ever passing similar workplace safety ordinances. These ordinances guarantee construction workers 10 minutes of rest for every 4 hours of work.

Texas is the deadliest construction industry in the country. A construction worker dies every three days.

Water breaks save lives and are a basic human right.
