Urge Lawmakers to Prioritize Child Care in the FY24 Budget

The Massachusetts Senate is currently creating the state's budget for the next fiscal year. We need your help to make sure that the state budget prioritizes child care!

  • $475 million in guaranteed funding for direct-to-provider operations grants, which are critical to keeping child care programs open, promoting affordability, and increasing educator wages.
  • $774 million to provide child care financial assistance for low-income families, an increase of $80 million from the FY23 Budget.
  • $25 million to expand the reach of child care financial assistance dedicated to reducing the existing wait list.
  • $60 million for a rate increase for both center-based and family child care providers serving children with EEC financial assistance.
  • $10 million for professional development and career pathways initiatives for early educators.
  • And more!

We are mobilizing #childcarevoters to call on the Legislature to make sure all of these investments - and more - stay in the final FY24 state budget!
