1. HB24-1313 will promote denser and more affordable housing near transit, jobs, and other resources. This type of housing product is sorely needed in Colorado to accommodate the needs of the workforce, make transit more efficient, expand the pool of potential employees who can easily commute in from surrounding areas, and reduce overall carbon footprint.
2. HB24-1152 will give homeowners more freedom to build accessory dwelling units (aka granny flats) on their property. It contains provisions to ensure that a portion of these smaller units remain affordable and provide more options for the workforce to live in the communities where they work.
