Urgent Appeal for Action: Humanitarian Crisis Unfolding in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh)
Since 12 December 2022, Azerbaijan has imposed a blockade on the only road, a lifeline, between Armenia and Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) through the Lachin Corridor, isolating 120,000 Armenians living in Artsakh and causing a dire humanitarian emergency. The Lachin Corridor, a span of 10 Km, separates Artsakh from the Republic of Armenia. For 8 months, people are deprived of essential life supplies, such as medicine, food, electricity and gas.
The goal of this initiative is to raise awareness about the dire humanitarian situation in Nagorno-Karabakh/Artsakh and to create international pressure on Azerbaijan to end the inhumane and illegal blockade. We are calling on the international community to take action and support the Armenian people in their time of need.
