Tell Ohio House Reps to STOP HB 183 -- SAY NO to the most extreme, discriminatory School Bathroom Ban in the country!

HB 183 bans transgender, gender nonconforming, and nonbinary people from K-12 and college/university restrooms and facilities aligning with their gender identity. This unnecessary, extreme ban on safe, inclusive spaces for all Ohioans claims to protect cisgender females in restrooms but instead, the bill sanctions discrimination and would increase known rates of abuse and violence towards transgender Ohioans. HB 183 is another politically fueled attack on transgender, gender nonconforming, and nonbinary communities that has NO HOME in Ohio.

HB 183 is bad public policy and dangerous for Ohio:

• This bill is discriminatory and violates federal Title IX protections for transgender students
• Bathroom bills are broad government overreach, and overly burdensome to Ohio schools
• Trans-exclusive school bathroom policies harm ALL students, including cisgender girls
